Midtown Redevelopment Heating Up

On August 5, 2016, Turner Park North purchased the Women Center for Advancement property east of the Twin Towers and fronting the freeway for $1,500,000.  This one acre parcel has a 12,898 SF building built in 1990.  On September 13, 2016, a company controlled by the owners of NuStyle Development acquired the 41,194 square foot National Indemnity building at 3024 Harney for $1,575,800 and subsequently announced plans to invest $8 million to create 48 apartments.  On February 5, 2017, the newspaper announce the formation of Midtown 2050 Corp., and its plans to spur Midtown redevelopment with a streetcar running down Farnam Street from downtown to Saddle Creek Boulevard.
