Mutual of Omaha's subsidiary, Turner Park North, LLC, continue to acquire other properties west of Mutual's existing Midtown Crossing development. They have acquired the north half of the block south of the Twin Towers, and much of the property east of it. The National Indemnity portions of the south half of the block south of the Twin Towers may soon be on the market, as National Indemnity is moving.
Developers Making Plans for North Tower Site. Turner Park North, the Mutual of Omaha subsidiary that manages the development of Midtown Crossing, is in the
process of preparing concepts for the potential redevelopment of the North Tower site and other properties surrounding the Twin Towers. Some of their plans may depend upon obtaining approval from
the required percentage of ownership in the Twin Towers condominium regime for changes to the surface parking, underground parking and zipper parking.
While Turner Park North is still several months away from being in a position to engage in communication with unit owners about the proposed redevelopment, or to seek their consent to any
necessary amendments, in November of 2015 it took the neighborly step of notifying the association board that planning is underway so that the board can consider the implications before
undertaking work on areas that may be affected, such as surface parking repair. This may prove to be a wonderful development opportunity that enhances the value of all of the Twin
Towers units.
